NOW Booking Trips For The FAll Striped Bass Run !
The waters off the jersey shore have exploded with life!! Huge schools of monster Bluefish and large Striped Bass have invaded our waters. These fish are gorging themselves on massive schools of bait fish as they make there way south. Once we break the Manasquan inlet there is no question, the Fall Run IS HERE!
Birds everywhere crashing into the boiling water as the striped bass and monster bluefish are turning the water red,  ripping apart the giant schools of bait fish. Capt Scott Murdoch yells "Hold on!!" as he throttles up the twin 225 horse power motors. He races to the action. As he approaches the mayhem on his starboard side he eases in and cuts the motors, he tells the crew "OK NOW!!" Three rods with jigs, two rods with top water plugs, the top water lures hit the water and within seconds huge explosions follow. "HE missed, HE missed, HE'S GOT IT " yells the mate, "FISH ON"!! Then the second plug gets hit. Its a doubleheader. The jigs just hit the bottom at a water depth of sixty feet. Capt. Scott points to the Raymarine c120s huge screen and shows the crew the huge bass sitting under the boat. The bottoms loaded he says. As the guys start working the jigs just off the bottom, the first 10 lb blue fish is gaffed and flipped into the boat in one motion, by the mate. The second the fish hits the deck a spay of blood goes across the cockpit. One of the guys working the jigging rods nearly gets his rod pulled from his hands as his jig is slammed.  The Capt. tells him "LET HIM RUN , THAT'S A BIG FISH!!" GO EASY, DON'T RUSH HIM". Now the second Gator blue gets gaffed and boated. There is blood everywhere. The mate grabs a bucket of water and quickly rinses the deck. A Second bass in now hooked on a jig. The birds are starting to move off to the south out of our casting range. The first Bass is getting close to the boat. The mate directs the crew like he has done this a thousand times, move down, step back , go under him, he tells the guys and avoids the two lines getting tangled. As the bass comes to the surface three of the guys simultaneously yell Holy S***!!!! Its a big 30lb plus bass with 2 more following it! They turn and run as soon as they see the boat. The mate says "OK stop reeling, just step back" as he quickly leans over and gives a quick gaff shot in the head of the large bass. By now the second bass is boat side. The mate puts the bass into the large fish box and starts leadering the next bass. He gaffs it and puts it in the the fish box.  The crew is now high fiving as the mate rinses the deck again. Capt. Scott starts the motors. The birds are off always but still in sight. The Capt. says "Hold ON!" as the throttles up and heads for the birds again.
